This project is for a pair of well detailed working Narrow Gauge engines. Both are powered by a M motor and can house a battery pack and IR receiver.
The Steam Engine:
This is based on the Garret locomotives that work on the Welsh Highland Railway between Porthmadog and Caernarfon. The locomotive is articulated, with the boiler suspended between to bogey units that carry the tender and water tank. In this model the battery pack can be fitted within the front water tank and the IR receiver can be positioned in the frame under the boiler. The model features a detailed cab interior.
The Electric Locomotive:
This is more generically based on Continental Narrow Gauge Locomotives found commonly in mountainous areas such as the Alps. This locomotive can fit the IR unit within the body shell, however the current model would require a battery car to power it as a battery box cannot fit within it, hopefully in later updates this issue can be resolved.
There is also a picture showing the drive train within the locomotives.
at 100 supporters I will update to include some rolling stock.
