Wishing Falls Cottage

Ancient legend has it that a Wish made behind a waterfall is certain to come true. For centuries, lovesick swains have used this method to ensure the affections of elusive ladies; and many young girls have braved the cold splash of the waterfall to pray for prettiness. The number of dreams come true in this way are incalculable and are locked within the walls of time. That is how it should be, for a Wish will never come true if it is known to any but the person making it. Of course, it is all very well if you can find a waterfall in the first place - and, having found it, can get behind the curtain of water to make your Wish...

Backstory
This LEGO Idea is a recreation of the Wishing Falls Cottage from David Winter Cottages. My grandmother loved collecting these cottages, and had a huge assortment of them. When she passed, I wanted to keep this one because it was extra special. This one had been signed by the artist at a convention, and her last initial, "S", was added to the plaque on the front (represented in the set by a round tan 2x2 tile). I wanted to immortalize this sculpture in something that I've always loved doing, which is building LEGO's. Both my grandmother and grandfather, Judy and Walter Stanley, are featured as LEGO minifigures in this set. I believe this would be a great LEGO set, as the build is large, but not overly complicated, making it a fun build for people new to LEGO, or to those, like me, who have been "playing well" all their lives.

The Set
The set itself aims to be a faithful recreation of the Wishing Falls Cottage from David Winter Cottages. The set comes in at 1217 pieces and is 10.2 x 9.8 x 12 inches in size. The set also features a mouse underneath the plaque, in the same spot as the hidden mouse on the actual sculpture.
