An Aquarium In a Diving Suit

Description

Marine exploration in the last century has made great strides: from the first diving suits we have gone to the most recent wetsuits, certainly safer and easier to use. However, diving suits have remained in the common imagination as the best example of underwater exploration. In this set I have taken up its characteristic spherical shape. The wooden base is decorated with gold inlays and the valves for oxygen are located in the back.

The upper part of the diving suit houses a large aquarium, a reinterpretation of the classic bowl.

Inside a series of bright corals, a shoal of fish and two starfish visible through the four side portholes of the diving suit and the upper opening that allows easy placement and movement.

The structure is decorated with pieces from plants in gold color and reused.
