Bridge Door Medieval City

The Medieval Bridge is inspired on real bridges that serve as entrance door to many medieval cities.

The model doesn't imitate any especific real medieval bridge, but this kind of construction can be easily found on medieval cities of western europe.

The arches of the medieval bridges can be half point (in Romanesque and end of the Middle Ages when it becomes time to impose the semicircular arch on the occasion of the new Renaissance airs) or slightly pointed in the Gothic centuries.

These bridges had parapet and often towers were built in the axis of the bridge or at its entry. These constructions have allowed soldiers to control access along with defensive reasons or to collect tolls and customs.
