The Rebels have launched an attack on the Death Star, in hope of crushing the Empire. But which side will you choose? Will you join the Rebel Alliance, and fight alongside the Rebellions strongest and restore the Jedi Order? Or will you join the mighty Empire, and crush the pitiful Rebellion under your powerful military forces, and become one with the Dark Side? Only you can decide!
This is my second take on a Star Wars Lego Chess Board, except on a smaller scale with decorations of the Death Star Trenches, to immerse you in the battle at the end of 'A New Hope'. It consists of 1,265 bricks, which means it will be more transportable than the original. It separates into 4 separate sections, which is inspired by the 'Lego Pirates Chess Set'.
The set consists of the following characters and pieces:
- Pawns- Rebel Soldiers
- Rooks- X-Wing Fighters
- Knights- Princess Leia and Obi-Wan Kenobi
- Bishops- Han Solo and Chewbacca
- Queen- Luke Skywalker
- King- Yoda
- Pawns- Stormtroopers
- Rooks- Tie-Fighters
- Knights- Death Star
- Bishops- Imperial Guards
- Queen- Darth Vader
- King- Yoda
The edges of the chess board displays the environment for the Rebel's Attack on the first Death Star. Each side come with an Imperial Death Star Turret, which is fully rotational to allow you to blast the Rebel Scum, and the thermal exhaust port is also visible. The dimensions of the board are 48x32 studs, which is smaller but much easier to transport than my other chess board, at 64x64 studs.
