Hey LEGO fans and thank you for coming to check out this build of a medieval barn. Castle and medieval has always been my favourite theme and I realized with all the dioramas and mocs I have completed, I had never done up a barn for my loveable cows!
It was time to change that and I built this large barn using a variety of medieval style build techniques as well as a few of my own, including a new to me style of using SNOT to build up the rockwork on the main level of the barn and attached farm house. I have used a variety of architectural details to create the upper floor, and designed the roof into 4 sections.
A warped wooden fence leads into the field beside the barn where we can see some cows grazing in the grass and a farmer getting ready to do some milking. I have finished off the build with some trees, a path hosting a customer arriving to the barn with some empty bottles to fill with milk, and some pink mushrooms to add that pop of colour against the muted tones of the build.
I think this would make a great LEGO set because there are lots of fun playability with it, geared towards kids, and a beautiful building/landscape that would also appeal to adult builders. We also need more castle/medieval sets! There are so many people who love to build in this theme and I think this would make an excellent addition the current Medieval Town Square! (10332)
