I made this set because I wanted a LEGO Mega Man display piece that could also offer some playability. Originally, I thought of making designs based on Wily's Castle from Mega Man 2 or the opening stage of Mega Man X, but I felt that since Yellow Devil appears as a stage hazard in Wily's Castle in Super Smash Bros., he might be a little bit more recognizable, even for people outside the Mega Man fanbase. I also liked the idea of it being able to be posed and displayed in different ways, adding both play and display value.

This project would be a fantastic LEGO set because it offers great displayability and play experience that both avid Mega Man fans and people with bare knowledge in the series would enjoy having in their collection. The original Mega Man NES games are synonymous with retro gaming and are among the most iconic titles in video game history. The Yellow Devil is an unusual type of robot for LEGO, and it brings lots of different ways to be displayed and played with using the included minifigures and accesories provided. It's perfect for collectors and gamers alike.
