As a professional smith, I've been working on getting my lego anvil model to match my real actual anvil for a good long bit- I think I've finally got it, minus, of course, hardy holes. Would be better done with one large smooth plate as the surface, but I don't yet have that piece.
Some of the photos are of just the anvil, before I made the stump.
this is a small set- the anvil is made with only thirteen pieces. The stump could be made with as few as 22 plus hammers. Anvil on stump stands about four inches tall- far above minifig scale.
