Ticket Booth Improvement and 600 Supporters

As of this update, this project had reached 600 supporters! Thank you to everyone who has supported this project so far! :)

I was taking a look at the ticket booth and thought that it looked a little bland. So, I came up with an idea to improve it and add some pizazz. Continuing the nautical theme to fit with the octopus and the ride swings, I turned the ticket booth into a little ship-shaped building. I also added an island-shaped piece of land so that the Minifigures have an area to stand in line. There is also a dock-shaped path which suggests a path leading to the ride. Below is a picture of what I've been working on. I'm planning on adding some pizazz to the other builds as well and making a big update to the project sometime in the future. Tell me what you think in the comments! :)

Turntable Experiment and 200 Supporters!

Hi everyone! I just wanted to make a quick update about what I've been doing to improve the project. So, I got a comment saying that it would be a cool idea to add a turntable function so that the octopus could actually spin. Currently, the octopus is sitting on a 2x4 turntable plate thing, which isn't ideal and probably not sturdy. I originally didn't add any functions because I'm not at all experienced with technic. I looked up a few tutorials and worked out a rough turntable function. I think the octopus is able to spin a lot better now, especially compared to what was there before. What next on the to-do list is to refine the function and build a new base to conceal it. That will take some time though. If anyone has any suggestions or ideas, then tell me in the comments. I'll be glad to hear them! A picture of the new function is below.

As of this update, the project has reached 200 supporters in a little less than a week! That makes me very happy and I want to give a huge thank you to everyone who has supported the project so far! It means a lot :)

100 Supporter Milestone!

I wanted to thank everyone who has supported my project so far! This is my first project and I wasn't expecting to reach the first milestone so quickly. It really means a lot to me that other people like my idea! So once again, thank you to everyone so far and I can't wait to see how far this project goes!

I thought it would be cool to show a couple of rendered photos of "rough draft" type builds. The first picture shows the octopus ride and it's a little shorter and the swings are all ships of various colors. I also played with the idea that the suction cups on the tentacles would be clear studs representing lights. The second picture is my first rendition of the food stand.
