Originally created by Danish scientist Piet Hein, the Soma Cube is a seven piece dissection puzzle that produces a 3x3 cube when assembled. This puzzle can be assembled in 240 unique ways to make a cube or any of a wide variety of 3D designs.
Considering the Danish origin of Lego, this puzzle may be a perfect fit for a potential Ideas set. The enjoyment of the puzzle extends well beyond the basic set construction/cube completion and into a wide selection of shapes and designs which will keep the user delighted and perplexed.
Truly a genius invention and a testament to simplicity and beauty in puzzle design.
