Presented in LEGO format here is the "Containers of Hope". This is a container home designed by Benjamin Garcia Saxe for the Peralta family in San Jose, Costa Rica. It was built in 2011. The goal was to build an inexpensive home with discarded cargo containers. Homes like this show that it is possible to build affordable homes by recycling and reusing abundant materials like cargo containers.
The idea here is to showcase and to bring attention to sustainable and green designs. The purpose is to reach a wide audience; children and adults, to show that through smart design, reusing/recycling materials and resources are attainable goals for the future.
