Gimbles (is actually spelled, Gimbels, however for copyright purposes I altered the spelling) is a famous American department store which was a landmark from the Christmas movie, "Elf", that was created in 2003. Gimbels was also a real department store built in 1887 located in New York City which was operating for a century. I built Gimbels because it was a joyous and significant part of the all-time favorite Christmas movie, Elf. I personally love the Christmas and holiday season because of the abundant joy and high spirits! I believe that this would make a great LEGO set because it is targeted towards people of all ages! Holiday movies are timeless classics and will always be just as enjoyable each and every time they are watched. Since, 2003, Elf is one of the most popular and most watched holiday movies in the United States and many individuals can enjoy it!

I utilized the digital program, BrickLink, in order to create this LEGO representation of Gimbels (there is definitely a creative spin to some of the aspects within the floors). There are 2,860 pieces and the "Elf" stand pictured as shown within the first picture is not included in the set.

The minifigures included in this set are: Michael Hobbs, Walter Hobbs, Buddy the Elf, Jovie, Gimbels Manager, and (Fake) Santa.

Some cool features that the set includes are two light bricks on the side of the building 2nd floor in order to light up the cottage scenery behind where Santa greets children. As well as, the revolving door in the front of Gimbels on the first floor.

There are some Easter Eggs from the movie scattered within the set including an Etch-a-Sketch and the book called The Story of Buddy the Elf, as well as the New York Skyscrapers LEGO that Buddy created in Gimbles 2nd floor.
