John Glenn, Pilot of Friendship 7, Dies today at 95
Hello fellow space enthusiasts!
Though this doesn't attain to Alan Shepard or Freedom 7, it does have to do with a fellow Mercury astronaut, John Glenn. In 1962, Glenn became the first American to orbit the earth and came back a national hero. Sadly though, today he died at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. John Glenn has been one of my hero's and this news is something that saddens me.
