It's the legend of Zelda and it's really rad!
Those creatures from Gannon are pretty bad.
Octoroks, tektites, and leevers too
But with your help, our hero pulls through!
"Yeah, get some" "Awesome" Intense!"
Alright, maybe there's just an octorok and a tektite, but this Lego Legend of Zelda proposal is still pretty rad! The original Legend of Zelda game first came out over 30 years ago and was revolutionary. The series has consistently provided some of the best gaming experiences over the past 30 years, and it looks to continue that in less than a month with Breath of the Wild.
In many ways, Breath of the Wild takes inspiration from the first game. What better way to immortalize Legend of Zelda with Lego than to do it with a set that's inspired by the game that started it all?
I originally put this together for my youngest sister, who is a die-hard Legend of Zelda fan and loves Lego. It's got a low piece count and would likely only be a $20-30 set in it's current state, though I hope to add more in updates as this gathers support and I get some community feedback.
As it stands, the set includes an ominous dungeon entrance and a couple classic Legend of Zelda enemies lovingly recreated in Lego. Once the cover is taken off the dungeon entrance, it reveals a chest that Link can run up the stairs and claim for his own (be careful with the bombs). However, although this is the set I made for my sister, if the community supports this and is interested I want to add more. Here are some things I'd like to add:
- A few things inspired by the environment of both the original game and A Link to the Past (a bush, a tree, a rock, maybe a little landscape, etc. . .)
- A boss fight inspired by the first game
- Another classic Legend of Zelda enemy.
Leave suggestions and/or comments/criticisms/tips in the comments! I hope you enjoy seeing this as much as I did putting it together!
