The Lord of the Rings: The Land of Mordor

"Three Rings for the Elven-Kings under the sky, Seven for the Dwarf-Lords in their halls of stone, Nine for Mortal Men doomed to die, One for the Dark Lord on his dark throne in the Land of Mordor where the shadows lie. One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them, One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them In the Land of Mordor where the shadows lie"

This project is a recreation of the Land of Mordor in the book and film The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King where Frodo and Sam must evade Orcs and make it to Mount Doom without being seen by the ever watching Eye of Sauron. This project includes the stony ground of Mordor, the slope of Mount Doom, part of the mountain, a short Orc axe, a short sword, a long axe, an Orc sword, a spear, three Orc shields, five Orc helmets (two of which are Frod and Sam's), five Orc breastplates, Sauron's mace and Sauron's helmet. The Minifigures include Frodo in Orc disguise, Sam in Orc disguise, three Orcs and Sauron in physical form (he does not appear physically during the time of Frodo and Sam, but I have included him because since this is a project of Mordor I thought he should be in it).

I think that Mordor is a key place in the Lord of the Rings and it deserves a LEGO set based off of it to complete it's line of sets. The figures in this project would also be a great addition to the LOTR figures that we already have, especially Sauron. You could put this next to the 79007 Battle at the Black Gate set and play out the scenes in Mordor. If you like the Lord of the Rings films or books, than please support this project.
