L-1011 Airliner

My creation is based upon a real classic airliner - Lockheed L-1011 or in this case we can say Lego L-1011. This aircraft is also referred to as the TriStar because it has three jet engines. The TriStar was ahead of its time offering an autoland ability, lower deck galley and lounge facilities.

My Lego airliner is built using simple yet common lego bricks while at the same time capturing the essence of the original airliner. 

I think people will be interested in this project because it would be both fun to build and fun to play with. The TriStar has a range of over 4,000 nautical miles but the Lego version would probably be better suited to handle shorter distance flights such as from the family room to the kitchen.
