Build instructions -Part One
Having completed the build in Lego I spent a bit of time ensuring there were no issues with the build, I found one area that need modification. LDD allowed a connection but in reality it was a little too tight (due to the height of the tiny 'LEGO' logo on the studs). I found a solution which I have incorporated into my build and these instructions. Click on the images to see them full size.
Version which could be built now
After seeing the model in Lego I decided to design a version which could be built using pieces which are currently available, with no reliance on Lego producing any parts in special colours. It is a little different from the original submission and some of this comes from the work done on my larger version. (Click on the image to see it full size). I only used one figure in each of the legs but it will take two, the parts reseller I normally use wanted a lot of money for the figures so I used less of them with this design.
Built by a fellow Architecture fan
While browsing the net I came across a posting on the Eurobricks where where #RMBP had decided to build up this project in bricks. Without plans they had the fun of trying to workout the build. Only the attachment of the mural panels caused them any real difficulty and oddly they came up with a sollution I had originally had, I eventually found a slightly different way of attaching the panels.
Absolutely fantastic to see it made up and the interior arch looks lovely in real bricks, I never had enough pieces to build more than half of it myself. Also, thanks for posting a link back to this project, I think this may explain a noticable increase in support I had earlier in the year.
The forum entry can be found here, with some great in-build photos -

Making the Arch Ceiling
I thought you might like to see the build for the ceiling panels. Its built on an upsidedown plate, the seperate rows of panels use rocker bricks and the panels are simply pushed together to form the curved ceiling tiles. (click below to see the full image)
