Traveler's Bridge

This quaint model is of a simple traveler bringing his goods and his horse across the bridge. This model was mostly inspired by Hobbiton in the Lord of the Rings trilogy, and it's bright grass and flowing rivers. I tried to use bright colors to enunciate the pleasant feelings associated with the shire. Although this is no particular character of Tolkien, it is intended to be seen as a hobbit trader.

The model itself is probably over 900 bricks, although the majority of this comes from over 500 single stud pieces to create the river. Using a collection of translucent blues and clears, the river appears to be made of a flowing water. The trees use LEGO rubber bands to bind together stalks giving the branches angles. The bridge was constructed alternating round 1x1s and rectangular 1x2s, creating an effect that allows for the bridge to curve. The bridge clips on to the base of the model.

Thanks for taking the time to look at the model - please leave a like and have fun building!
