The Shard

Here you can see my model of the skyscraper "the shard". You can find the original building in London. It was completed in 2013 and is with 310 meters the tallest building in western europe. Very remarkable are the glass structure with different transparent "layers" and the unusual shape, especially the tip, which gave its name to this high-rise building. In "the shard" there are offices, a hotel, two restaurants, apartments and a viewing platform at 232 meters height.

Here are the facts of the model:
- Height: 32 cm
- Ground plate: 16 x 16 studs / 12,8 x 12,8 cm
- 1309 parts
- The most applied parts are Plates 1x2 transparent white & Roof Tiles 1x1x2/3 transparent white
- By an internal structure, that fixes every glass wall at several points, this model is very stable
- The model could be a part of the Lego Architecture series
