LEGO Ideas is designed for older builders. We’re sorry, but based on the birth date we have on file for you, this means we can't let you have an account here.

This is my attempt at an updated version of "TIE Interceptor" set (6206), drawing inspiration from the previous model blended with elements from 2012’s “TIE Fighter” set (9492). The main aspect that I felt needed addressing was the wings, in order to make them consistent with the new "TIE Fighter" design. The cockpit section is a copy of the "TIE Fighter" one, as in the films the cockpits of the various TIE classes appear to be a standardised model.
Update, As you can see I have managed to build my design, during the process I identified a weakness in the wings, causing me to change the design slightly. The funny thing is the redesign actually looks better to me then my original idea.
And I'd like to thank Cuusoo member Vean for the excellent renders of my design I used prior to me completing the actual model.
I have previously submitted a TIE Advanced model design, aka "Darth Vader's TIE Fighter".

Please check it out if you liked this design.
You should also check out cornwaille's designs that were inspired by my two projects.
TIE Interceptor (Royal Guard variant)
And I would also like to draw your attention to Krispijn's Imperial Assault Gunboat and darthwin729's TIE Phantom.
