Interstellar is my favourite movie of all time. The love portrayed in the story is also an eternal theme, it can transcend time and space, connecting the past and the future. Based on this idea, I created this project Hourglass of Gravity, a panorama inspired by this movie. I think it will be really cool to build for both lego fans and movie fans.
My project consists of two parts: Part A is young Murph in her room, holding the watch her father left her. Part B is Cooper somewhere thousands of lightyears away in the Endurance space station, watching the video record of his family. And the entire scene has a silhouette of hourglass.
What I want to express through this scene is, Cooper and Murph are so far away from each other, yet with the bond of love, they are so close. It doesn't matter the direction of sand flows, from Cooper to Murph, or from Murph to Cooper, it is always the flow of yearning between father and daughter.
“Gravity can cross dimensions, including time.” Just as the line in the movie says, my little lego hourglass can do so as well :)
