Collectable brick-built Droid packs: Clone Wars/Starwars
collect and build a fearsome Droid Army with brick-built minifig-scale Droid packs: a series of small Starwars/Clone Wars themed blister-packs containing bricks and instructions to build minifigure-scale Droids . . . no minifigures.
The packs would come in a range of collectable sizes:
REGULAR packs would contain 75-100 bricks (lots of 'specialised' cips, dishes, bars tools etc.) including a number of specially 'printed' bricks (or sticker sets) in colours they don't currently exist in and full instructions.
initial designs/suggestions include:
- Aqua Droids
- B2 'Ultra' Battle Droids
- Droideka variants
- Buzz Droids (see the final picture)
or Separatist Droid 'Generals/Commanders or Mercenaries like:
- Kul Teska
LARGE packs would contain 150-200 bricks, (lots of 'specialised' cips, dishes, bars tools etc.) including a number of specially 'printed' bricks (or sticker sets) in colours they don't currently exist in and full instructions. initial designs/suggestions include:
- Retail Clan Droids
- Vulture Droid
- Crab Droids
- Dwarf Spider Droids
- Octuptarra Combat Droid
- Manta Sub Droid
- Scorpenek Annihilator Droid
. . . below are a few proposals for how they should look.
any suggestions for additions/improvement would be gratefully received & don't forget to support, comment and spread the word if you want these made . . .
1: Aqua Droids - would include bricks to build 3 x Aqua Droid minifigs, in Chrome, Dark Bluish Gray and Black with specially printed 'torso' bricks.
2: B3 'Ultra' Battle Droids - would include bricks to build 2 x B3 'Ultra' Battle Droids in Pearl Dark Grey and Black with 2 specially printed pieces with the Battle Droid face on it.
3: DROIDEKA Variants - would include bricks to build ALL 4 Droideka variants inc. a 'classic' Q-series / a Sniper / a Grapple & a Mark II (not pictured . . . yet) in Copper, Pearl Dark Grey and Chrome Silver with specially printed 'carapace' bricks.
4: DSD-1 Dwarf Spider Droids - would include bricks to build 2 x Dwarf Spider Droids in Sand Blue / Light Bluish-Grey &/or Reddish Brown / Dark Tan with specially printed side and rear dishes (which would delineate between the Droid shell and the mechanisms below)
5: RETAIL-CLAN Droids - would include bricks to build 2 x LR-57 Retail Clan Droids in either Dark Tan or Dark Bluish Grey (i'm not sure which looks best yet . . . )
6: LM-432 Crab Droid - would include bricks to build 2 x Crab Droids in Reddish Brown / Flat Silver
7: OCTUPTARRA Combat Droid - would include bricks to build 1 x Octuptarra Combat Droid in Metallic Silver / Pearl Light-Grey with specially printed 'head' dishes.
8: VULTURE Droid - would include bricks to build 1 x Vulture Droid in Sand Blue / Dark Blue with specially printed 'head' and wing bricks . . . this version can convert from a very flexible and posable 'Walking' mode (pictured), to Flying and to Shooting mode (one has the wings tightly shut, the other has the wings slightly open and the cannon exposed)
9: MANTA SUB Droid - would include bricks to build 1 x Manta Sub in Dark Red / Dark Bluish Grey with specuially printed 'eyes' brick.
10. SCORPENEK Annihilator Droid - would include bricks to build 1 x Annihilator Droid in Reddish Brown / Flat Silver.
11: BUZZ Droids . . . would include bricks to 5 Buzz Droids in Flat Silver/Chrome/Dark Bluish Grey with printed domes.
. . . all of these sets would provide enormous building/re-building potential, be great 'army builders' for collectors and provide an array of interesting new bricks for future creations.
