Welcome to my chess set! I designed it with the goal of recreating a typical-sized, playable chess set and board based on the Staunton aesthetic. I wanted to portray the classic pieces as accurately as possible in the scale of a typical play set. At just about 500 pieces, this set uses many smaller elements to form the unique features and angles of the pawn, rook, knight, bishop, queen, and king.
The set was designed using Lego Digital Designer (LDD). The board is a 32x32 stud base plate with the pieces ranging from 3.5 - 7.0 cm in height.
