The Rietveld Schröderhuis (Rietveld Schröder House)

Improved Window bar

Here's an option for improving the coloured window bars, which are so characteristic of this building.

The yellow horizontal bar across the windows on the north side is continuous across the width of the building.

This is difficult to achieve all the way across because it's an odd number of bricks in my model and there is no LEGO part that contains the 'slide' edge that is an odd number of studs long (they only come in plates with 2 studs and 8 studs). So to fill this I've used one small plate jutting out from the wall.  It sticks out slightly but doesn't look too bad. If only there was a 1x1 or a 1x3 plate with a slide!  That would help with the front red bar also. The alternative would be to scale the model up slightly to make it an even number of studs, if it wouldn't distort the proportions too much.
