This Lego barge and loading port comes with an easily accessible driver section, 5 connecting crates and an end piece, a crane to lift the boxes, and a floating ship base. It also comes with:
-2 8M cross axles
-2 16M cross axles
-2 32M cross axles
-2 bushes for cross axles
-4 2M cross axle extensions
These pieces are to help align the crates on both sides.
-to hold 5 crates you use a 32M, 8M, 16M, 2 2M cross axle extensions, and 1 bush for one side, same for the other.
-to hold 4 crates you use a 32M, 16M, a 2M cross axle extensions, and 1 bush each side.
-to hold 3 crates you use a 32M and 1 bush each side.
-to hold 2 crates you use a 8M, 16M, a 2M cross axle extensions, and 1 bush each side.
You do not need any axles for a single crate. For a better understanding of this, look at the pictures above.
This is a unique set, I was looking through the Lego sets and even though there was a technic set that rebuilds into a barge this is only one of two barges. It is targeted towards younger ages, is an easy build and is a very playable set which really varies from the other set. This set is 652 pieces. Some other features include 14 boxes (2 pieces each; lid and bottom) and 4 16*16 road baseplates.
