       Why does the Human Torch attack the Avengers's secret lair ? He's not the Human Torch but he is a Skrull. The Skrulls are an extraterrestrial humanoid race who have created a vast interstellar empire, the oldest known empire still in existence, within the Andromeda Galaxy. The Skrull-race began on the planet Skrullos in the Drox System hundreds of millions of years ago. Skrulls have mastered space travel on vast scales, space and planet colonization, advanced energy based weaponry, advanced medical technology, warp drive starships, advanced robots, cyborg, and cybernetic technology, and advanced genetic technology.

This Skrull transformed him to the Human Torch because he wants to invade Earth.
