I'm one of those people who really, really wish LEGO had made sets from the greatest Marvel movie yet, Captain America: The Winter Soldier. But even though LEGO didn't decide to make any sets from it, fans can build their own.
Presenting . . . The Triskelion! The Triskelion is S.H.I.E.L.D's headquarters in Winter Soldier, located on the Potomac River in Washington, D.C. It consists of a central, three-section cylindrical tower which overlooks a lower, long structure. Jutting out from the structure are hangar bays in the river for the huge next-generation helicarriers.
I have replicated the structure as a mini LEGO model using LDD. It includes the central tower with a small, curved section jutting out from the base on one side, a larger rectangular section on the other (which is connected to the bridge), and the long, low, curved section the hangar bays are next to. Protruding from that section are the border markers of the underwater hangars, with docking ports on their ends.
I also crafted minifigures of Alexander Pierce, the head of the Security Council, Nick Fury, director of S.H.I.E.L.D., and Agent Rumlow, a particularly vicious S.H.I.E.L.D./HYDRA agent who attempts to murder Captain America multiple times. These characters all play important roles in the events that take place at the Triskelion, so I thought it might be nice to add them. Maybe they could be placed on a descriptive plaque.
