The model shows a classis air balloon, used during expeditions. The red/white combination and the ropes around the balloon speak to everyone’s imagination.
The model is build around this iconic look of air balloons. Both the balloon and the basket feature interesting building techniques like interlocking ball joins and droid arms. The interlocking technique made it possible to make the balloon hollow without a heavy internal structure. These building techniques inspired me to make this balloon into an set on itself.

In the model the telescope, the map, the gas handle and the compass could not be missed. The details together with the whopping height of 53 cm and width of 27 cm make the model ideal to play with or a great model to display in front of the window or on the shelves.
The techniques make the model an interesting piece to make for both young and old Lego fans. With its techniques and details the balloon fits in well with the other vehicles out of the Lego Creator Expert series.
