The Man on the Moon Final!

First of all, I would like to thank everyone for helping and being so supportive! I can’t thank you enough for being there for these exciting ten days. Today is day ten, and it is our last day to rally support. After that, this entry will be in the hands of LEGO, and I will be stalking my email. I can’t express how thankful I am, and I’m so excited to see the next step of The Man on the Moon! For fun I decided to render a few things! I rendered and edited three pictures for your enjoyment. First, I rendered two of the official pictures with the changes I have done in the last ten days. These two pictures represent the final version. In the first picture you can see the rover placed next to the old man. In the second picture you can see the new table with the plate of cheese and the radio in the house for the first time. The third is just a fun picture I designed to thank everyone for their help and support. I also posted this picture on the latest blog post. While I was writing this update, I decided to make a new version of the description!

This entry is an original version of the Man on the Moon. The entry has 280 pieces and includes a house, a park bench, a bed, a table, a plant enclosed in a glass case, a radio, a plate of cheese, a cute rover, and one minifigure. Thank you for supporting, and good luck to all the entries!

Once again, thank you for supporting, and hopefully this will make it to the top 25! For the next two weeks, I will be restlessly stalking my email! Thank you and good luck to everyone!

Another Step Forward!

Thank you everyone for supporting and helping this entry! I submitted this entry to the LDD Gallery with a link, and hopefully it will be accepted soon. After a few suggestions in the comments, I decided to give you all another update. This will probably be the last update changing the model, but I plan to upload two more. The next update will include a few renderings of the finale version, and the second will have pictures of the real life version coming in two weeks. Once again, thank you. Currently, I've been having dificulty pasting the picture directly into the update so the two pictures will be down below.

A while ago, golddude22 commented,”Have The Man Eating A Piece Of Cheese?” I thought this was a great idea so I added a small dish with a yellow cheese slope. I also turned the two separate tables into a single shelf/desk.

I have to apologize to the next person because I couldn’t find their comment! If you remember commenting this, please leave a comment down below, and I will add you to the credits. I believe the comment went something like this. “The rover is really nice and looks almost playful. You should have the old man and the rover playing fetch!” As far as building goes, this was quite simple, because all I had to do was add a ball. So, I decided to make a render showing them having some fun!

Thank you for helping and supporting! Voting will be coming to an end soon and after that, all we can do is wait. For the next three days, I will need your help more than ever! Please tell friends, and family. Thank you and good luck to all of the entries!

Roofs ,Rovers, and Radios!

First of all, I would like to thank everyone for supporting this entry and leaving so many nice comments! You all have been so supportive and have given me lots of good feedback. So, I had to make an update for you. I originally planned to show you a really cool technique I used for the slanted roof, but I got so many great ideas I had to make them all! If you have any questions or more input on how I could make this entry even better, please leave a comment down below.

The first thing I want to show you isn’t an improvement necessarily but just a cool technique that I discovered! I hope this will be helpful, and maybe it could help a project reach 10,000 supporters someday.

In the comments, LegoLoucks said, “You could add one more piece of furniture into the house, or a small rover to the side of the house outside, the old man needs a friend!”. I agreed that living on the moon is very lonely, and I had extra pieces for furniture, so I made both!

I made a surprisingly accurate rover, but something was wrong with it. Then I realized it needed to look friendly, so what else should I have done except add “eyes”!

After being dazed by cuteness, I turned my attention to building a piece of furniture. After thinking about it, I realized you can’t live on the moon without tuning in to see what is going on down on earth. So, I made a little radio for him to listen to his tunes.

I remade a few areas that were using unnecessary parts. I ended up saving 14 pieces! Both of these houses don’t include the radio or the rovOnce again, I would like to thank everyone for supporting and contributing to this project! For the last two days, I have been having so much fun replying to all of your comments and questions. For the next week I will still need your help. Please help spread the word with your friends and family. Also, I will order a real version of this set, and it will hopefully arrive in about two weeks! Good luck to all of the amazing entries, and I hope everyone in the contest is having fun!
