Honeymoon Hike in Iceland
This scene is inspired by a photo I took of my wife on our Honeymoon in Iceland. It was our first morning there and we went for a jet-lagged walk on the property of our rural rental. The host had casually mentioned that there was waterfall to see.
We expected to find a quaint trickle, but instead were gobsmacked by the beauty of a tall, elegant waterfall, falling into a lush ravine. It was this very moment, captured in a photo, that made us fall in love with Iceland.
We continued to have an adventurous day, hiking to hilltops to see what lay beyond, spotting sheep (always in groups of 3), and delighting in the unmatched springiness of Iceland moss.
My technical challenge for this build was to rotate part of the landscape "off grid" without creating any distracting gaps. To do this, I used an axle/pin to rotate the angled part of the landscape. Then it was trial and error to cover the gaps, using overhanging plates and strategically placed cheese slopes to blend it in.
