LEGO Ideas First 2017 Review Results

Over the past several months, the LEGO Review Board has carefully reviewed the 11 projects that reached 10,000 supporters between January and May 2017, our first review qualification period of 2017. We're grateful for the energy and effort that each member has put into their project, as it's certainly a big feat to get 10,000 supporters in itself. Congrats to everyone!

Tron Legacy Light Cycle

Congratulations to BrickBros UK for their inspired design, which will officially become one of the next LEGO Ideas sets!

We can't wait to see Tom and Drew's Tron Legacy Light Cycle come to life in LEGO bricks.

If you'd like to learn more about Tom & Drew then make sure to check out their 10K Club Interview.

Special mention - Surf Rescue

First of all congratulations to Damien and Aiden MacRae, creators of the Surf Rescue project, for making it to the LEGO Ideas Review. As with all members who reach this milestone, it's a huge feat! We are humbled knowing Damien and Aiden wished to use LEGO bricks to express their important and personal message about surf and sun safety. Their story inspired us to share their message with many LEGO fans worldwide through LEGO.com

Following the intensive LEGO Ideas review, we have however decided not to turn their Surf Rescue project into an official LEGO Ideas set. Despite this, we have offered to work with Damien and Aiden on some special projects to share their story and message. We will announce more about potential initiatives if they become a reality.

Design, pricing, and availability

We’re still working out the final product design, pricing and availably for the Tron Legacy Light Cycle set, so check back on LEGO Ideas in 2018 for more details.

Next review results coming in early 2018

The next batch of LEGO Ideas projects are already in review. We’re considering these projects that reached 10,000 supporters between May and September 2017 as possible future LEGO sets. We’ll share results of the Second 2017 LEGO review period in early 2018.
