As part of celebrating 10 years of crowdsourcing and collaboration between LEGO® Ideas and LEGO fans, the LEGO Ideas team recently attended the famous Skærbæk Fan Weekend event in Skærbæk, Denmark where we held a panel that was led by Joshua Hanlon of the LEGO fan YouTube channel Beyond the Brick.
The panelists, Daiva Staneikaite Naldal [Head of LEGO Ideas], Tim Courtney [LEGO Ideas Experience Manager] and Niek van Slagmaat [LEGO Designer of the 21311 Voltron set], spoke about lots of different and interesting topics including everything from the early days of LEGO CUUSOO and how it all started, to how the program has evolved over time, how LEGO Ideas sets get developed by the LEGO Designer, as well as how we work with marketing as well as why celebrating the fans is so important to us, and much much more.
