Introducing our Super Science challenge!
Science is FUN. LEGO® building is FUN. It’s time to fuse the two together for some amazing results!
To celebrate the LEGO Ideas The Evolution of STEM (21355) set, we want you to put on your invention cap to create some scientific marvels that you think should be a thing!
Wacky, serious, silly or truly groundbreaking – we want to see your unique creativity and where your imagination can take you by combining these two creative worlds.
Maybe it’s a flying bus powered by rain clouds? A snack-dispensing time machine or even a fire-proof fire engine! Maybe your invention is more serious and one that could really make a difference and contribute to science? There is no right, or wrong, the choice is yours.
So, jump into your hovercar and fuel your imagination, it’s time to get all super science! Here’s some thought starters to get that gray matter moving.
Historical Innovations
Your idea could be inspired by some of the most ingenious real-world inventions that have changed the way we live. It might be communication enhancing, like the invention of the telephone, maybe you’ll find inspiration through the invention of flight, or it could be an object that is as simple as something like a light bulb, but that would revolutionize everyday life. There’s plenty of examples in history of scientific creations that could just provide the spark you need to make your super science brick-creation.
Fantastical Future
What amazing scientific discoveries are on the horizon? The future is quite literally in your hands! Take a glance into the future, what would you like to see invented? Maybe it's a mode of teleporting transportation or a revolutionary building with floating floors. Could you design a way to improve food production or farming... we’re thinking vertical greenhouses. Maybe that's just us.
Bold Breakthroughs
Scientific inventions have the power to make a real difference. Is there an invention that could help the planet for the better? A way to design artificial habitats to help endangered species thrive, Ocean clean-up robots or a universal language translator – any language translated in real-time!
Weird and Wonderful
And of course, there’s always room in the world for something uniquely weird or wonderfully extraordinary, born from your own brilliant imagination! Make that perfect day last longer with a time-freezing watch. Find out what your dog is really trying to tell you with the handy pet translator. You might be looking for that ultimate home solution of a self-cleaning house, allowing you time to put your feet up and enjoy some holographic TV.
Let’s Invent!
As well as submitting your own entry, you can pick up inspiration and share your thoughts on other awesome builds too! The LEGO Ideas community is here to celebrate every thrilling moment with you.
