Here Comes 2025!

Hello LEGO® Ideas members!

As 2024 draws to a close, we’ve had one of the best years on LEGO Ideas. We’ve grown this fantastic community even more and seen incredible creations rise to the dizzying heights of the LEGO Store shelves. We, as a team, would like to celebrate some of the highlights of this calendar year.

NEW LEGO IDEAS SETS

This year we've launched 9 fantastic LEGO Ideas sets that have shown the creativity and skill of our talented Fan Designers. Some were discovered during challenges, and some were selected in the review process. But all sets have excited both new and experienced builders all over the world!

This year we also launched another Gift with Purchase set:

With so many sets coming, which one are you most looking forward to?

CHALLENGES

In 2024, we ran 14 Challenges with thousands of incredible entries! With various different themes and challenging briefs for new and experienced builders alike.

This year, my (Jacob’s) favorite challenge was Building a Legend! And Nelson’s was the Brick or Treat challenge!

We had lots of winners too, over 120 in fact! But I wanted to take a moment to also thank everyone who not only won a challenge, but those who took part by submitting, supported their favorite submissions, and participated in the Fan Votes too.

And speaking of challenges, some of you may remember we ran a challenge to celebrate 15 years of LEGO Ideas!

Well, the winner of that challenge, Abraham, won a trip to Billund to meet the team and tour LEGO House, LEGO Campus and more. And I’m pleased to share that the trip did happen. It was an absolute pleasure to host Abraham and his brother back in November!

ACTIVITIES

This year we've run 14 Activities, just like 2023! We were super excited to see you all submitting some of the best racing vehicles we’ve ever seen, celebrating 15 years of LEGO Minecraft (which was awesome because the journey of LEGO Minecraft started right here!), and celebrating our favorite sports. Not to mention the Fan Votes and other activations we’ve done over the year too!

Snippet of Minecraft by Mez was a fantastic entry that reminded me of the old Minecraft: Micro World: The Forest set! ^

HAPPY NEW YEAR

Thank you for joining us on LEGO Ideas this year! To all the new fans who may have only created an account today, to those who don’t have an account but check in from time to time, all the way to those who have had accounts for even longer than I have.

We deeply appreciate all of the time you’ve spent on the site and creating your submissions. They were absolutely incredible and we are constantly wowed by the most passionate fans we could ever ask for.

Myself and the rest of the team are really looking forward to seeing you all again in 2025!

Happy New Year to you and your loved ones!
