LEGO Ideas First 2020 Review Results

Over the past 4 months, the LEGO Review Board has been evaluating the astounding 26 product ideas that reached 10,000 supporters between early January and early May 2020. In addition to this, the review board has also continued and concluded it's review of the 9 submissions that made it into the review stage of the Music to our Ears contest held in Spring 2020.

Congratulations to all 10K members and Music to our Ears contest participants who made it to the review phase and showed that creativity has no boundaries.

Check out the announcement presented by LEGO Ideas Engagement Manager, Hasan Jensen, and LEGO Ideas Design Manager, Samuel Johnson.

LEGO Ideas First 2020 Review Results

Earth Globe

Huge congratulations Guillaume Roussel (aka Disneybrick55) for having his Earth Globe design selected as one of the next LEGO Ideas sets. The Earth Globe is iconic right off the bat and comes with many fascinating opportunities from educational possibilities to retro display value. In addition, it's a complex and unique build that's never before seen in an official LEGO set.

If you'd like to learn more about Guillaume then make sure to check out his 10K Club Interview.

Sonic Mania - Green Hill Zone: Still being considered

Our review board has found Viv Grannell's (aka toastergrl on LEGO Ideas) Sonic Mania - Green Hill Zone submission to be very interesting. Unfortunately, it requires a further review before we can determine if we can make it happen or not.

While we wait for the results of this submission coming in the next review results announcement in early 2021, you can check out Viv Grannell's 10K Club Interview.

Music to our Ears Contest Review Results

Legendary Stratocaster

A rocking congratulations to Tomáš Letenay (aka TOMOELL) for his Legendary (Fender) Stratocaster creation that has won the Music to our Ears contest product idea review with its absolutely legendary status. Despite only placing in 7th place in the fan vote part of the contest with 427 votes, it rocked the socks off our review board for whom it was an instant hit, worthy of the rock 'n' roll hall of fame! Between it's iconic status in music history and it's unique details, building techniques and display possibilities, we're sure this will be a billboard hit!

Design, pricing, and availability

We’re still working out the final product design, pricing and availability for these 2 sets. We'll share more on the LEGO Ideas blog when we get closer to launch.

Next review results coming in the early 2021

The next batch of LEGO Ideas projects are already in review. And we've witnessed a massive, record breaking 35 submissions that hit 10,000 supporters between early May and early September 2020 that the review board is considering this time around. We’ll share results of the Second 2020 LEGO review period in early 2021.

That's a TON of 10K product ideas

If you're one of the many fans who finds it strange to see that so many product ideas have reached the 10,000 supporter milestone over the last 6 months, then you'll want to check out our statement regarding this.
